Client had been to prison twice for a non-sexual crime. He was charged with having unwanted sexual contact with a 20 year old babysitter. Client was facing an automatic life without parole sentence if convicted. Case was tried and the State was allowed, over objection, to admit prior sexual misconduct of the client that occurred while he was in prison! In spite of that, the jury found him guilty of a misdemeanor and he was allowed to walk out of the courtroom that day without being a registered sex offender.
